About the Authors

Alex Lobdell, "Hosts of the Envoy": Alex Lobdell claims to be a former Mr. Universe, professional battleship designer and confidant of Pulitzer prize-winning authors. Or so he wishes. He has an active fantasy life. In reality, Alex is a Notre Dame alumnus and former editor of Montana Catholic. He teaches at Chien Kou Technical University in Chang Hua, Taiwan, where he spends a lot of quality time with his Chinese-English dictionary. He did once meet Pulitzer-prizewinner A.B. Guthrie, however. Guthrie told him he thought heaven would be a boring place; Alex hopes he's there, anyway, and has found something to interest him. His second story about Luke Kittery appears in Infinite Space, Infinite God (2007: Twilight Times Books).

Cherith Baldry:  Cherith Baldry was born in Lancaster, UK, and now lives just south of London. She has two grown-up sons and is housekeeper for two cats. She is a full-time writer; her published works include three adult fantasy novels, a number of children's books and short fiction. She has a special interest in Arthurian legend, and her Arthurian novel, Exiled from Camelot, was shortlisted for the Origins Award. Currently Cherith is one of three writers working on the Warriors series under the name of Erin Hunter.

Greg Beatty:  Greg Beatty has a PhD in English from the University of Iowa and attended Clarion West 2000. His work has appeared in Absolute Magnitude, Asimov's, HP Lovecraft’s Magazine of Horror, the Internet Review of Science Fiction, Ideomancer, Oceans of the Mind, Paradox, Star*Line, The New York Review of Science Fiction, and many others. Greg won the Rhysling Award in 2005 (short poem category). Greg's first poetry chapbook will be out in late 2007 from Spec House (http://spechouseofpoetry.blogspot.com ). When he's not writing, Greg teaches for the University of Phoenix Online.  Greg lives with his wife Kathy in the far too rainy state of Washington.

Frank C. Gunderloy, Jr.:  Frank is a retired rocket scientist who makes his home in Palm Desert, California.  His work has appeared in Fantastic, Amazing, Realms of Fantasy, and Absolute Magnitude as well as others; and in the anthology More Amazing Stories (Tor Books).  He has also authored or co-authored numerous technical articles, reports, and patents in the fields of rocket propellants, inorganic chemistry, and environmental sciences.  He is an active member of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America. Peter Bell: Peter  is 26 years old and lives with his wife Anna in South Wales, where he spent his formative years before leaving to study French and Spanish at Bangor University.  This led to him finding a job operating roller coasters at Disneyland Resort Paris, and polishing his Spanish at the University of Granada in Andalucia.  Although he had been writing for his own amusement since childhood, it was only after returning to the United Kingdom that he seriously began to pursue writing as a career.  Leaps Of Faith is his first professionally published short story, and his is currently working on a full-length novel and an unofficial tourist guide to Disneyland Resort Paris.  In addition, he is an occasional contributor to The Western Mail's men's page, and Disney news website, MiceAge.

Vincent Malzahn:  VW Malzahn expresses his Catholic faith through essays, speculative fiction, and art. He is currently seeking a publisher for a collection of essays and working on a novel. He is also involved in leading and starting small church communities and adapting loyal Catholic books for small group discussions. Malzahn is a graduate of Heritage University (B.A. in English). He was born in the Yakima Valley, Washington, and returned to live there in 1993. He lives there with his wife and daughter, Frances and Natalie.

Leslie Brown:  Leslie Brown is a research technician working in the Alzheimer’s field.  She has previously published stories in On Spec, Strange Horizons and in several anthologies including Neo-Opsis, Open Space, Thou Shalt Not and Loving the Undead.  She is a member of Lyngarde, an Ottawa Writers’ Group. Susanne Marie Knight:  Susanne Marie Knight is the author of 19 novels and one anthology. Her book, The Coming, won the 2004 Dream Realm Award for best speculative fiction. She also is a five-time EPPIE finalist and writes in such diverse genres as science fiction, Regency, paranormal, mystery, suspense, time-travel, and contemporaries. Michael S. Poteet: Michael S. Poteet is an ordained Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), currently serving the larger church as a freelance writer.  He writes regularly for the United Methodist Publishing House and has also written several literature study guides for Progeny Press, a Christian homeschooling publisher.  His first professional fiction sale appeared in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds II (Pocket Books, 1999).  Mike works as a cataloguer for Bauman Rare Books.  He and his wife are the proud parents of two children.


Colleen Drippé: Colleen Drippé has two books set in the "Lost Rythar" universe: Godcountry and Sunrise on the Icewolf, (NovelBooks.) She has also written many short stories, one of which was about Brother John's successors to Rythar and appeared in the SF anthology, Infinite Space, Infinite God (2007: Twilight Times Books). Karina Fabian:  Karina Fabian writes a diverse amount of fiction and nonfiction, from homebirth and health articles for pregnancy magazines like Fit Pregnancy to fantasy mysteries like “Dragon Eye, PI” (Firestorm of Dragons, Dragon Moon Press) to covering stories on the science and religion beats for acfnewsource, which produces radio shows like Osgood Files.  She has written several craft books and a children’s game for a Catholic girls’ club through EcceHomo Press.  Her first novel, Magic, Mensa and Mayhem is coming by Swimming Kangaroo Books in 2009. Robert Fabian:  Robert Fabian is a LtCol in the US Air Force specializing in space operations.  In his 17 years of service, he’s done everything from maintaining ICBMs to speechwriting for the Chief of Staff of the Air Force.  He’s written academic papers on the military and political use of space for the Proceedings of the Naval Institute, Astropolitics and national space conferences.  With Karina, he edited Infinite Space, Infinite God (2007: Twilight Times Books.)
